PART 3, PAGES 169–170 (NO CHAPTER NUMBER) MY WORDS – 2
History had neglected to mention whether Unicorn had also foreseen that before long, three distinct currents would arise within the worship of ink. From what I have gathered, there was an orthodox faction, which sought to preserve everything exactly as it was. A second group held that it was unnecessary to worship ink literally, since the ‘true’ ink resided within oneself, others and one’s surroundings. A third school regarded ink as a worthless substance, for it was, in itself, capable of nothing; it was precisely its application that mattered.
The infamous and bloody Ink Wars lasted exactly twice as long as the war of the species, with the net result that the human camp diminished by two-thirds, leaving them a dwindling minority in a centre now dominated by the otherkin.
