About This Venture

Publishing is a new venture from James Holbrook, an under the underground word artist, who was once long ago for a short time was a choirboy, once walked city walls and in his late 30s rediscovered a voice, unheard for some time , creating  a largely unpublished sonic archive of improvised wordart. In the last few years he has been creating new  genre video art, mostly in North Eastern England.

A previous life involved various jobs from residential social worker care services manager in a south London voluntary sector organisation followed by market researcher, telesales, telemarketing and marketing with various organistions, including a multinational IT company

Journeys in the USA and the Netherlands shaped the route he took in life as did a weekend in Sunderland a couple of years after the turn of the millenium.

Roots in Yorkshire and the North East are deep. Born in London,  he spent the first 5 decades of his life near a rabbit hole in the south before relocating to not that far from a Northern rabbit hole.

In the early 2000s, James Holbrook created the nom d’art manonadune for his artistic explorations.
